Christian libraries and meeting centers.
Christians in the Middle East have a great need for more knowledge about the Bible. You will find this knowledge in good, Christian reading and books. These types of books are widely available in Arabic, but are inaccessible to most Christians due to their high prices. They are quite expensive to purchase. With this in mind, the Ismael Foundation supports Christian libraries and meeting centers. This way, Christians and non-Christians can borrow literature and books that deepen their faith, but it is also a place where people can meet each other in a casual way. Here people get the opportunity to become acquainted with the Christian faith and, for example, Bible studies can also be held.
Reading, studying and meeting
Various countries support several of these libraries. These centers are open five days a week. The package of books and reading material will be expanded over time. Publishers are approached for this purpose and asked whether they would like to make books available. The center is run by volunteers from various churches in the region. These centers also offer young people the opportunity to meet each other in a safe environment, a quiet place to study and a place to enjoy a cup of coffee.
The Word of God
Christians in the Middle East need the Word. God makes Himself known to people through His Word. It is the wish of the Ismael Foundation that many people in the Middle East get to know God through reading the Bible. As the evangelist John writes in John 17:3: And this is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom Thou hast sent.
